Bacon Stuffed French Toast Waffles

Recipe adapted for Hormel Foods and used with permission from A Few Short Cuts.

  • 8 Slices of bread
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons HORMEL® Real Bacon Bits, Pieces or Crumble
  • Waffle Iron
  • 1.Plug in waffle iron to heat.
  • 2.In a bowl whisk together milk, egg, sugar, and vanilla extract.
  • 3.Spray the waffle iron with non-stick spray.
  • 4.Dip a slice of bread into the milk mixture. Just enough to coat. Place the bread onto the hot waffle iron. Sprinkle with HORMEL® Real Bacon Bits, Pieces or Crumble.
  • 5.Dip a second piece of bread into the milk mixture and place it on top of the first.
  • 6.Close the waffle iron and allow it to cook for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown.
  • 7.Serve with syrup.
  • 8.Continue with the remaining ingredients to create more waffles.
